Aon Scéal means “any news” and it is one of our ways of greeting people who we know here in Dingle. So, firstly I loved the title of the book, the fact that the writers all meet in my cousin Donal’s pub in BallyFerriter. This is the pub that my grandfather was born in! Members were brought to beautiful places in such a lovely way. We had a nature, walked up hills, saw sheep in the fields, we were brought to city life in Dublin decades ago, we were told funny stories, brought to some of my favourite places here on the Dingle Peninsula, visited the islands, looked out at the Sleeping Giant. There are so many things that I absolutely loved about this book and the adventures that the writers brought us on.
It was also a unique way to be transported to different places around Ireland.
Members enjoyed it as much as I did, and they too had fun on the journey throughout this book and within my own booklet and the pictures of the different places that I included.
